Tony Owens - Clinical Coordinator
Tony Owens is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). He is currently the CEO of Educare Counseling Center non-profit agency providing substance abuse and mental health services. He received his Masters of Social Work degree from University of Tennessee & holds a Master Addiction Counselor Certification. Mr. Owens is an Army Veteran, passionate advocate for alternatives to incarceration and has lived in Williamson County since 1989. He currently lives in Franklin with his wife, Ann Johnson.
Janet Mattingly - Primary Therapist
Janet Mattingly graduated from the University of Tennessee with her Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW). Janet is a certified PRIME For Life™, PRIME Solutions™, and MRT instructor. She will soon have her Social Work licensure and is pursuing additional licensure for Alcohol and Drug Counseling. Janet is passionate about extending hope to individuals who struggle with substance abuse and mental health challenges.
Steve Fisher - Certified Peer Recovery Specialist, Counselor
Steve Fisher has been a resident of Williamson County since 1988 and lives with his wife Susan in the Bethesda community. Steve served for 25 years as a teacher and administrator with
Williamson County Schools. He has recently been certified as a Peer Recovery Specialist with the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse. Steve is also an Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselor in training.
Cassandra Southall - Programs Support Manager & Assistant to the Clinical Director
Cassandra graduated from the Practical Nursing Program at Tennessee College of Applied Technology in 2004. She has a strong health care background. Cassandra began working in the Substance Abuse field in 2015 and has vast experience managing state grant programs. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and LADAC licensure.
Sandy Brainard - Certified Peer Recovery Specialist
Sandy Brainard is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist who promotes self-determination, personal responsibility and empowerment. After working for a year at Cumberland Heights Treatment Center while earning her Certification, Sandy joined the treatment team at Educare in 2014. With over thirty years of lived Recovery experience, Sandy brings hope and inspiration to those eager to transform their lives. Along with facilitating peer support groups and providing individual peer support, Sandy helps to locate the resources needed to ensure success in Recovery.
Lynn Caudill - Counselor
Lynn Caudill is a counselor for Educare Counseling Center. She attended Mississippi State University and graduated from Memphis State University. She is certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She is
also a certified PRIME For Life™ and MRT Instructor. She and her husband have lived in Franklin over 20 years. They have three children.
Wendy Attmore - Special Projects Coordinator
Wendy Attmore works part-time for Educare as Special Projects Coordinator. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her previous work experience includes project management for Accenture and freelance writing. She is currently a graduate student at the University of Tennessee College of Social Work with plans to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
